RZR/R20 Engine Compartment Vents

I'm curious now after seeing the pics of patryk's 2011 R20 that has vents in the transom for the engine compartment and it appears that Tige eliminated that for the 2012.

Any idea why? I never thought that was a great place as water can get in there if the driver throttles back too quickly.

I have a 2011 and a 2012 in my show room the vents are on the rear side decks on both, one is an intake and the other exhaust, nither is on the transom, show pics.

You got my curiosity so I checked one of my earlyer RZR , and it did have a center upper deck vent, where you sit , I dont know why they would have changed , it would be very difficult to get water that hi up.

As I stated in the other thread. The 11 rzr has the Vent, it is where the blower exhausts from. They must have changed the blower location, eliminating the need for that vent.

I see more of a issue getting water in the surf side vent if your fully weighted than that rear vent
