@ h2o
So my friend has a 2005 22ve I believe. He kinda wants to the same thing but change all the sun pads to sea deck or something similar. Kinda knowing how they rap. It will be difficult. We were having trouble with the locker gaps being to tight If you wrap them, but look bad if you don't rap them. I would think you could do vinyl on the sides of the engine compartment and sea deck like 16" wide down the center. I don't know how you would terminate the vinyl to the sea deck. Maybe rase it up 1/2 or3/4"? but then you run into the end grain problems. How do you finish that? Turn it down? Separate piece different thickness? It is a tough problem. I don't have the answer but we can ask see if we get one.

I do agree with making it your own. I do enjoy that part the most. I don't have the income for a $90,000 dollar boat but that doesn't mean I can't try and make mine look like one, and TRY to preform like one. The tec is so BA on the new stuff I could only imagine what it is like.(but I do have trouble working my phone/computer) I do look at it like this. 20 years from now they will be in my price range. Then i can retire my 2000 witch will be 38 years old and get me a new 20 year old 2018 (I will only be 70) lol. That is 20 years of mods on the 21v so by then it will be the baddest one on the planet.IMO You may laugh but sold my 1986 Supra Comp last year(IMO it was the baddest one on the planet) to buy this Tige that I wanted for 10 years. Some things are worth the wait.Form the sale of the old. 3.000 out of pocket, and I get a new project to make my own. 20 years of fun has begun. I agree there is some cool flooring out there the carpet in mine will probably only stay a few years. I am not sure the direction it will go or what I will do with it but i know it is temporary. I did love the last boats flooring but I don't want it to become my signature so I got to think of something new.but like i said i got 20.

Anywho... started adding some cup holders thanks to our good friend @Pro-Fab haha! Can't believe I didn't do it sooner.
Before.. and After.
Also put my FAE back on... fell off at the Lake Mead Tigé Reunion last year. Thank God it didn't fall all the way off.
Sorry for hijacking this thread... it's become the Old V thread.

I will definitely post more pictures of it. I still have a bit I am doing to the exterior. The exterior is still wrapped in the factory graphics. I am wet sanding and buffing the whole exterior and putting a new white rub rail with flex chrome insert.2001 Tige 21V Fresh Air Exhaust, ballast, loud stereo, blue v drive, ACME 1235 prop Kneeboarding, Surfing, and having fun!

Gumby- Yes the carbon fiber for the plastic is a 4d carbon vinyl by Vivid. Vivid is the only wrap to use as it is built to take the abuse of the UV light a boat is exposed to. 3M makes nice outdoor products too but Vivid is easier to work with and more forgiving.
h2osk8er00- I like the LED rings in the cup holders! I was going to deck out the interior with LEDs but we are RARELY in the boat at night.
As far as the walk through... you will have to add reinforcement on top of the dividers for the lids to be supported by, like a piece of thick aluminum channel or angle. I had thought of doing this but the vinyl on our sun deck doesn't really take a beating from walking on it.2001 Tige 21V Fresh Air Exhaust, ballast, loud stereo, blue v drive, ACME 1235 prop Kneeboarding, Surfing, and having fun!

Gumby- to clean a clearcoat off of your aluminum ski pole I would take some 400-500 grit sand paper and wrap it around the pole and oscillate around the pole until the clear coat is off. then move up to 800 grit then 1500 grit then 3000 grit, after that then you can use almost any aluminum polish to get the shine you are looking for. The hardest part will be removing the old clear coat if there is an actual clear coat on it. once the clear coat is off you can probably get through the sanding steps in about 15 minutes or less once the clear coat is off. The other option to remove the clear coat is to chemically strip it but I would remove the pole to do that.2001 Tige 21V Fresh Air Exhaust, ballast, loud stereo, blue v drive, ACME 1235 prop Kneeboarding, Surfing, and having fun!

I also still have the stickers on the outside.I am not sure if i will remove them.It seams like a lot of work. Thanks for the info on the carbon and the pylon.I bit the bullet pulled it out and did pretty much what you said but used jewelers rouge for the polish. (No black when it gets wet). looks good tho.
The lights are cool mine are done on the outside of the cup holders and speakers We do use ours some at night. They were the worth it cheep to do.
Just thought of this have you done anything to the back air intake? To keep the water out when you some to a stop. When I am fat and my surfer falls. I stop the wave catches me, up the back of the boat straight into the air intake.

You can see the the piece of rubber seal I put on. It does help some. if come off the throttle slow enough helps. Just wanted to know if you know of a better mod to try. (did think of this my self) When she is fat she is low.I also have an transom seat that helps a lot now but still get some in. The bad part water goes right down the blower tube.
