mine vents in and the opening for the blower is on top of the basin. it would be tough for water to get in through the vent. The majority of the time the driver will take a hard right and water wont plow the transom. But on rare occasion that it does, its really no big deal. We have had our 21V for 9 years now with now apparent issues from that.2001 Tige 21V Fresh Air Exhaust, ballast, loud stereo, blue v drive, ACME 1235 prop Kneeboarding, Surfing, and having fun!

I just used Copycat Covers on my 2001 2100V for the wrap around seat cushions. Everything turned out fine. However I got intimidated when it came time to install it and I took it to a local upholstery shop for the installation. I paid around $600 to copycat for the 6 cushions but ended up spending another $275 for labor for the installation. Turnaround was about 6-8 weeks. FYI, the upholstery shop said if I would have just came to him right away he probably could have saved me money overall. Here are some pics.

I also did most of the work my self but had the bottom (sitting part) done a little more modern by a shop. Make sure you use stainless steel staples i used a 4 way stretch vinyl on the solid colors carbon was 2 way stretch. The motor cover will need a gusset sown in to look right IMO. I can look up the manufacture of the 4 way if you would like. The color is completely different on mine. The 4 way makes it nice to do the front 90 degrease and the rear 90.

We had an 8" booster made with high density foam for the drivers seat. Re carperted with some embrodery, we also had the rear seat back badge replaced with Tige logo embroidery. Embroidery was $45 for carpet and $22.50 for rear seat. everything all together cost us $2500. I removed all of the cushions and reinstalled all myself to save more than $1,100.
