If it was just a little warmer outside.........

I wish the weather was just a tad bit warmer so we could take the boat out. I hate winter.

When it hits that temperature again here(March/April), my boat WILL be in the water...funny, your low temperatures are the same as our low temps during June/July only it will be 100 for the high.

Nice, rubbing it in. I bet a lot of folk from WA would love to be down in FL.

Take your boat out, quit being a Sally!

OK, I'll rise to that bait.

Yes, it would be nice to boat year round. But then we wouldn't have all of the other sports in the other seasons. For example, after a very slow start to winter our local ski resort has received 19 inches of powder in the past 72 hours and it's still coming down . Meanwhile, the resort in Canada we'll be visiting shortly has received FIVE FEET of powder in the last seven days.

And all of that snow will be in the rivers come Spring, giving us a wonderful whitewater kayaking playground. From the rivers it will flow into the lakes where we'll wakesurf and wakeboard all Summer and Fall.

So with all due respect to FL, we'll keep WA and ID, thanks. No way would we want to miss out on THIS:

Will be on a jet to Denver in 4 weeks for 7 days of cold fun...then hurry our our butts back to Florida faster than you can say "warm weather".

You can keep all the snow and rain - the PNW is absolute misery in the winter. I am thankful to only be in the PNW on the weekends at this point and very much enjoy the 70's in SoCal.

Go inland (Portland is not inland!) and that rain becomes snow. I hate rain - hate hate hate it - but snow is an entirely different matter. Here on the border between WA and ID we primarily get snow in the winter, not rain. And snow is fun!

BTW, I grew up in SoCal (San Diego, to be exact). Left after I graduated high school. So I know exactly what it's like to live there, and I cannot imagine leaving the PNW to live there again. Glad you like it though, it does have a few charms.

Denver isn't "cold" most of the time during winter. It's 63 degrees out right now and we are forecast for 50's for a few more days and then a dip to 40. We do get cold spells, not saying that we don't but it's a lot milder here than most people think.

Agreed. Utah is a lot colder. My wife will say it is cold, all I have to do is say do you want to move back to Utah.

You are such a tease. If the temps were that nice I would be in the boat and water. Are you?
