Talltigeguy- The valve never stuck open, just in the closed position. Even when stuck, I could always open the engine hatch and with a screwdriver, manualy open the valve. It is a very long reach and very awkward, but could be done. The electric actuator didn't seem to have enough torque, or like I mentioned, maybe it is our heat, water, etc.

Lucky- I didn't remember all of the details, but a vent line would be something that could easily get kinked. Or my vent line is tied into the drain line with a check valve. The check valve could stick. All the more reason to be careful about the bag size, configuration, and piping.

It does fill quickly while moving with the pumps on. And it will fill the bags with the valve open and pumps off with just a little speed. Like was mentioned, open the valve and turn it on while going out to your favorite spot and its ready before you are.

      from this weekend

it definately fills much faster with the pumps on while moving, than having just the gate open

Sorry it took me so long to get back, but the idea has already been conveyed here. I went with a sack that is roughly 2" bigger than the height of the opening under the seats, from the very back wall all the way forward. I think it measured volume around 750 if you went with the exact size.

And yeah, my walkthrough sack is a manually filled sack. It helps a lot. Most boats do not have enough weight in the nose. I try to have as much up front as in the rear so that when you add people, it is the right mix of rear heavy.

www.skihut.com ask for Lee. He had it custom made from FlyHigh. I estimate it adds about 500lbs.

              Custom fat sacs

I contacted Barefoot International to make a couple of custom bags for me. I want a U bag and a big wakesurf bag like was discussed above. I received my quote today and sticker shock set in. The wakesurf bag was especially pricey. Over $500 seems like a lot to me...for just the wakesurf bag. The bag I was quoted is a little smaller than Surfdad's.

Is that too much to pay? If you don't want everyone to know what you paid for your custom sacks, just private email me.

The sounds way too high. From time to time on ebay, one of the bag manufacturers auctions a custom bag and you specify the dimensions. It seems that the buy it now price was $200. I just did a quick check and could not find one listed currently, but you may keep watching and give that a try.

try searching wakeworld or wakeboarder.com in the boat forum. I remember seeing a post in the last month about custom ballast, and one member said that he made customs sacs.

I probably spoke a little too soon when I posted. I emailed them and asked why it was so much. We were able to get to a sale price that they had going several months back that was closer to in line with what I was expecting. We were also able to get me down a lot on the U bag by buying one they have just begun to make standard instead of a custom U bag.

The folks there were very good to work with and I'm looking forward to my sacks.

Tall, I like that name. Do you ride all season long in St. George? If so, my wife and I visit St. George a couple times during the winter and would love to get some riding in. We would be happy to fill up your gas tank and buy food, beer, whatever......Let me know.

They asked me if I could be quoted in the 06 manual, this is the first I heard that I actually am famous now!

The winter riding is hit and miss. When the inversion is causing smog in Salt Lake, it is sunny and 60 plus degrees here, and unbeleivably calm. Those are the best days. Wednesdays I am mostly free and try to go then. Shoot me your phone number on my email and we'll see if we can hook up!
