Sorry guys guma has been very busy. Being in Afghanistan for a few month requires a bit of stuff to take care off when you get back. Give him some time. Plus he probably does want to leave the water.

Yea, sorry guys I had to go off grid for a while and just sit back and relax while getting a few things tidied after we got home. Mostly been out at the lake house getting the dock and boat lift finished up and lots of fishing while the bass are on beds spawning... Been tearing 'em up!

I have had a chance to get the Z3 out and do a little surfing and it was great. Still a lot of work to do on finding the right weight setup with speed and Taps, but I will get to it soon. I do have some video of some trial and error I was trying earlier this week, but I hate to say this, I have not found a great setup just yet. One of my biggest problems is prop thrust, which I see Ragboy has mentioned in his thread. I will try to get the videos editted and put online shortly.

Just watched the video, and right about where I was getting the clean wave, the spray was hitting me in the face while surfing. So much so that it was quite frustrating to try and surf. Any word on when/if this new plate will be production?

What was taps at? I really don't know on date. I am not sure if what I have is the final design.

I had taps in the 2 - 6 range. I will get the video together that I have and get posted so you guys can see it....

Glad to hear you got some R&R. You seemed so excited about getting it out on the water that you had a few people concerned when you dropped off the face of the earth.

I'd be on the horn straight away about my new taps plate and when they were FedEx'n it to my dealer for immediate install. They obviously know its an issue and obviously have a fix. Did they happen to mention anything about the plate? If not, how are new Z3s being delivered without the correct plate? I'm not saying it is a jacked up situation. I'm saying it would be an issue for me if they just let these first ones go without fixing an issue they already have a fix for without so much as mentioning there might be an issue they would like to fix.
