    Modify a 95 Tige for a better wakeboard/surf wake

The might sound like a really dumb question but is there any way to add a wedge or anything similar to my boat other than weighing it down to make the wake better for wakeboarding or sking. I was at the boat show in NYC over the weekend and noticed a Yamaha boat that had adjustable tabs that controlled the wake. I really like my boat and it would be awesome if I could get a better wake out of it. I posted a picture of the transome without the platform. Any ideas would be great.

Hi, I'm new here but I have a similar boat (96 pre2002wt), difference is mine does have what you are looking for, a TAPS system (similar to what you got, but has electronic movement up and down and helps you shape the wake) but do not think that this will solve all your wakeboard issues regarding the wake.

For enhancing the wake, I'm actually trying to make some modifications to the hull, here you can find some threads about it and that is filling the spray pockets, for better shape and form of the wake. The spray pockets are the cut edge that you see at the back of the boat in each side.

There is a lot of good people here that could help you regarding the wake plate (TAPS). Good luck buddy

attached is a pic of what the TAPS system looks like, hope it helps.

A taps system won't really do much for that boat. That is the Fineline hull. When Tige first started, they bought a mold from Fineline Industries. Fineline built all the hulls for Centurion. This is how a lot of boat manufacturers get in the game. Once they have their roots planted, they can design what the really want. So, your boat is a Tige but, it was not designed by Tige which means no convex hull. That hull has a hook. That it why you have a fixed plate. A taps plate won't do anything but give you the ability to push the nose down even further. It won't allow you to raise the plate to allow the stern to drop down in the water (which is why taps works) because of the hook. Tige Tiges don't have the hook in the stern. If you didn't have a taps plate on a Tige Tige, it would purpoise out of control because there is no hook to keep the nose at a fixed attitude. The no-hook stern naturally drops further into the water, creating a "bigger" wake and the plate keeps it under control at speed. The plate does nothing to create a bigger wake, it just allows the user to keep the wake hull under control.

So far as mounting a Wedge on there, boy IDK, never seen it done. I think it would be a whole lot of work just to see if it would work. I'm sure it would do something but...

Hey NICKYPOO, how do you manage to know this is a fineline hull, is there something on the hull design to look for and when Tige did the change?
Thx for your input, just wondering the differences between a 96 2002, besides the TAPs plate.

The vents on the back are a dead giveaway. Do an image search for ski centurion falcon.
