Cup Holder?

I have a 2002 21i and unfortunately there isn’t a cup holder anywhere for the driver. The closest cup holder is on the other side of the boat near the radio. Any idea's for a permanent cup holder? Without having to purchase a cheap hanger cup holder that can fly off?

kottenmouth21, this is what I did. I took a piece of left over 4x4, cut a piece that was 4 inches long. Then I had one of the guys at work (I work for an engineering company), and drilled out a hole big enough to hold a can. Then, I coated it with some spray one bed liner. Then I screwed it to the floor by the drivers seat. It's not the prettiest, but it gets the job done.

I would look at building a small wooden box, cover it with matching carpet, drop in a cupholder and then either bond it too the floor or the hull by your right knee. You could even get creative and make it with a storage tray to.

A good friend of mine made lazy susan and it sat on top of the ski pylon. He simply made a plywood platter, put a few cup holders in and found a PVC end cap to fit the top of the pylon. Wrapped it in carpet and rocked it. When he didnt need it he just pulled it off and stored it away.

My 2001 21i has a cup holder on the drivers side under the window parallel to the forward one on the passenger side. Drill the hole and drop in a matching cup holder (make sure you do not drill into anything underneath).

I have a 2003 20i with the exact same set up. Bought a swivel stick-on cup holder for the windshield near the throttle...so far so good.

If you have a favorite drink/container, set it on the dash where you intend to place to cupholder to make sure you can get it in and out.

Look for threads/videos regarding how to drill through gel/fiberglass if you are going to do the work yourself.
