    TAPS broke!

So my TAPS doesn't work, and its stuck in the full wakeboard position which sucks. Is there anyway I can manually set it at a certain point and just leave it?

As far as fixing though, how can i test the pump to see if it works, without using the swicthes: ie. manually connecting a battery to the wire harness etc?

Im not 100% sure how the whole system works, but can a aftermarket bennet trim tab switch be plugged directly in the pump harness?

    It is a 2001 2100v limited.

    TAPS

I have a 2002 21i and 2 years ago mine stopped working as well. It ended up being the wiring to the switch on the throttle, it needed to be re-wired. Just last month I noticed the RAMS were leaking ATF fluid, Bennet made new RAMS to spec and everything seems to be working now.

Not sure if this helps but maybe check the wiring. I would also think you could hook up the pump to a battery and see if it runs to eliminate that problem.

there are 4 wires at the pump though, green, blue, yellow, and black.

      And that fluid is ATF?

Yes, ATF. TAPS is a simple system. Don't try to "fix" it to one position. It will suck.

What year boat is it? Can you hear the pump running when you hit the switch? If not, its more than likely the switch.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Check fuses too. Mine went out once and it was a fuse that had blown.

where is the fuse located at?

It's one of those things were ones I get it back to the #4 position, i am never touching it again HAHA.

Our last run we had TAPS at 4, 1700lbs of ballast and it was an epic wake. But i went to see what the surf wake was like and moved TAPS and then it broke, just my luck.

As far as my setup, it is a 2001. I cannot feel the pump running when i push the switch.

Ill probably change out all the fluid and trace down the wiring when i get a chance.

              Did you check the breaker?

                TAPS

In my 2002 the pump is located under the driver side dash in front of where your feet rest. As Nickypoo mentioned you would hear the pump running, if you don't its probably the switch or the fuse running it.

                  Taps

I have a related question, on my 03 22V the Taps only moves in one direction at idle, is this normal? If I open the throttle the Taps moves to slalom and I can adjust it back from there. I can't adjust it from wake to slalom without throttling it up.
