    Another great Power Turn video.

I like the use of the shovel, just wish it would reach across the lake sometimes.

We are Tubers. We love rough water that creates an incredibly fun ride. We LOVE Powerturns!

For all you Wakeboarders, there are A LOT more of US than there are of YOU.

        Deal with it.

Everything has its time and place.
One day when I my son went down I had to do a power turn or he would not be here now, as a guy fishing started to take off from a dead stop straight for him. The nose of the boat was so high there is no way he could see where he was going. When I cut in front of him, he turned and came back and started yelling at me. Once he seen my son in the water, he got flustered and drove away.
Tige, it's a way of life!

Glad your son is ok, good example of when to power turn, no one will dispute that. The other 99% of the time power turning is just a lack of consideration for other boats using the water to partake in the same activity the power turner is enjoying too. I was never taught that power turning is bad or evil, but I grew up attending and watching waterski and wakeboard competitions and I noticed the pro drivers always went to idle before turning around to pick up a downed rider or contestant, if they stopped at all. I just want to drive and pull like the pros.

Btw, I also carry a very loud air horn to alert boaters who are not paying attention. I've read a few stories of boats coliding with a stationary boat that was changing riders with the engine off, scary stuff.

I like the shovel too and the part, "because you're slow". Good stuff!
                  Thanks Tall!

HAHA. My main thing is not the tubers, it is when you get up at sunrise and there are only people wakeboarding or skiing, and they are the ones screwing up the water. Most of the tubers are sleepers, and at least don't show up until 9. On our small lake, 10 boats could easily share the lake and all have pretty decent water, if they just drove correctly. But more often than not, 2 boats going around in circles create a complete mess out of every particle of water in existence. Most of them are good people, but just have never been taught.

That post is why people hate tubers

One of the lake that we go to has a big channel that is perfect for tubers. yet they come up into skiers cove and wreck the water there. Plus they are typically careless in that they come very closer to hitting us.

When we tube we go out into the channel.

There is a time and place for everything.

That's not the right way to pick up a rider?

I think you missed the point. I completely agree Tall - when there are skiiers and wakeboarders enjoying butter and it is messed up solely by unnecessary powerturns, those folks need the edumacation!

But, that said - all have rights to public water and you no more have a right to butter than a tuber has to excitement laden chop! I use light-hearted humor in saying tubers Hate YOU because of the arrogance - and again - there are A LOT more of US than there are of YOU!

Nick - don't bite too hard.

Joe - we are skiiers as well. We time our runs to enjoy and share the butter until it is time to rip it up!

BTW. We come off throttle to pick up all of our riders even those just thrashed on the tube.
