I'm looking for a board for next year. I can get up and throw the rope in, but I would definitely consider myself a beginner. 6'2", 185 lbs. What should I look for in a board? I really like the looks of the Byerly Hazard, but don't know if its right for me or what size to get. Any help is appreciated.

Several of us have one of Lakewakes boards, which have been good. I have the 55" Wide. I am 6' and was at 240 ish when I was riding it. Several of my buddies used mine and liked it. Timmy, on here used mine when we met up. If I recall he is probably about your height and weight. You might PM him to see what he thought.

Did you check out wake9 and the polar ear event? There are lots of good reviews on that site. That's why I didn't embed the YouTube, so you would see the links to other board reviews. Lots to choose from now, I'm leaning toward the IS sweet spot pro myself, I just finished up 4 seasons with my IS blue lake and I want something that turns faster, and my wife wants something smaller.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Fingers crossed I have an IS sweet spot being shipped out to Dubai this week, we don't have much choice here, liquid force or hyperlite we bought an of thrusters last year to use on my buddy's moomba, since we got our rz4 we have outgrown it. We are taking a bit of a chance but I had a good read up and decided itbwas the best guess option for us!!! Looking forward to trying it, if it gets delivered in time for my buddy to bring it out to us!
