RZR or R20 walk thru hatch

Has anyone experienced the walk through transom hatch not opening all the way? I think the MFG is mounting the hatch cylinder lower bracket 1 1/2" too low. After getting frustrated with the restricted opening all season, I finally looked at it and determined the cylinder arm is fully extended and hatch door only 3/4 open. I removed the lower bracket, opened the hatch door where I wanted it and mounted the bracket about 2" higher. WOW....what a difference.

On our 2011 RZR we have the same problem with the walk through transom hatch not opening all the way and it does not stay open on its own.

I need to request a pull strap to help lift the observation seat. The seat is real snug when it is down position..

These were 2 of the issues I brought up in my other thread while looking at the new 2012,r20 and Rzr . It was really a pain to get that observers seat open and the rear walkthru hatch wouldn't stay open at all. Two of the most important storage areas for me.

As far as the observer seat goes if you push down on the bench seat where the touch the observer seat and it'll pop right up, never had an issue with the hatches either but they only open 85%

Thats exactly what i do. Step on the bench seat then pull up on observers seat.

better yet ... not sure if you added the seadek pad on the walk thru or if its factory on not.. but looks good.. added that to mine. dont seem to have any hatch issues on my 2011 RZ4...
