dealers in new England seem to be very competitive, there is one boat dealer in each state up here that all compete for a limited number of watersports users that only use the boat for 60 hours or so per year (supposedly the average in new England. Boat shows are kind of funny, they all fight over clients, I would guess deals would be similar in Mn and Washington etc. Where cold climates prevent year round boating

Boat shows are great to see the boat(s) in person and get an idea of the layout, seating and ability to compare several types at once. Also good place to meet the owner/dealer and identify yourself as a real prospect vs. all the lookie-lou's.
Dealers are motivated to sell @ boatshow because they can sell the boat to you before they have to start paying for it. While you can get a good price at the boat show, you can get a great price if they boat doesn't sell by October and the dealer needs to unload it before he gets in his next year's allotment of boats.
@ Boatshow, strike up a relationship with dealers, identify yourself as a buyer, and inquire of other dealers may want to consignment sell your Tahoe.

You are going to have to travel as well as there are simply not that many Tige dealers. I just bought a 2010 Tige RZ4 last month (have a 2004 22V which is for sale now). I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area and bought my boat from a dealer in New Hampshire. Went up and trailered it down for the cost of gas and a 1 night stay at a hotel. Although a 2010 it was a new boat (only 3 hours on it) and came with full 3 year warranty. Boat has upgraded color, the 409 PCM engine (vs standard 340), Pro ballast (1900 lbs), upgraded wet sounds speakers (4 on tower) and color matched trailer. The "list" was $114k and dealer had it advertised at $72k. After negotiation he sold it for $61.5k which I thought was a very good deal. Frankly, cheaper than some of the used 2008 and 2009 RZ4s I saw on-line. I agree about the alpha z tower as we didn't like the 08/09 towers. Anyway, good luck! It definitely pays to look around and find a "hungry" dealer.
