I have the R20 and love it.Here was my thought process while researching for a boat:
My home is on the waterway where we boat,we use the boat almost exclusively to surf and wakeboard almost every evening and weekend also, we are fairly new to the sport ( had a bowrider before). Seeing as this is basically a ''toy'' I didn't want to break the bank.Therfore, first and foremost, I was looking for the best quality wave and boat for the buck and really didn't give much value to anything not purely performance related. That is why I chose Tige over any other manufacturer and the R20 as the model. The Tige touch is a nice feature and the Alpha Z a beautiful tower, but neither enhance the wave,so therfore I was unwilling to invest the extra $$$ to have these features. We have put on about 100 hours this year and absolutely love the boat and really apreciate the quality and performance offered. In my opinion, you won't go wrong with either choice....Good luck and enjoy the searching process,I think thats about half the fun !

My photo makes the bemini look high up front due to the angle the picture was taken in the water. Also, in my photo, the boat had 1,200 pounds of full ballast in the rear bags.

I just bought a 2011 R20 with extra upgrades for 45K, and am very happy with the boat. Sure, some of the other options would have been nice, but I got a great boat for what I think was a good price. Either way you go, you'll be very happy that you purchased a Tige'.

That is one sweet looking ride that will never go out of style. I love clean simple lines. Now powder coat that tower black to seal the deal
