    Faded Tower

I have a '05 24v with a red Phat Buddy Tower. The top of the tower is fading to almost pink. Is there anyway to bring back the red in the tower. If there is not, has anyone re-powder coated thier tower? Did you have it stripped or powder coat over the top?

    Thanks,

    Jon

Is it just oxidized? Have you tried to buff it out?

I have an issue with the powder coating on my titan tower, I spoke to then and to my local powder coating place. They can sand blast it and recoat it for $ 300. The labor
will all be in the removal and hauling it to the shop. I would check a local shop about getting it redone.
So if the tower is easy to remove yourself, it is not expensive to get it done.

Thanks for the replies, I have yet to attempt any buffing. I'm sure its a common issue with towers and wanted to see if anyone had any tricks or suggestions. Most I've talked to said you cant buff it out like paint. Some suggest just poweder coating over the orginal color if I'm gunna stay with the same color. Probably just end up having it stipped and re-powder coated.

My blue Metcraft tower is starting to oxidize, and I've had good luck with rubbing compound to get back to the original color, then a good coat or two of wax gets it looking good.

            Ambivalent? Yes. Or Not.
