First Time Winterizer Here...

I have:

1. Topped off the fuel tank and treated the fuel
2. Drained the oil and pulled the plugs.(the 5 blue plugs I have)
3. Drained all water that I can see
4. Took out the batteries and stored them inside my house properly.

Anything else. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the Merc engine? If you do a search there have been several threads about this in the last couple of weeks. I have a spreadsheet with some information that I got from another member, if you are interested PM me your email address.

Did you run the engine after adding the fuel treatment? If not, you have untreated fuel in the very components that need the protection....the injectors.

Did you just drain the oil or do an oil change? Again, you need to run the engine for a few after the fresh oil is put in.

Did you drain the transmission cooler and impeller housing? When was the last time the trans fluid was replaced?

Lube the rudder box.

Steering cable attaches to the tiller arm, tiller are is connected to the rudder box, hip bone connected to the thigh bone.

Remove the impeller and store it in a ziploc bag. This prevents it from taking a set while dry and cold.

Just drained the oil. I will put new oil in this weekend.

You will need to run the engine in order to circulate the fresh oil through the engine to flush out the old oil from the bearing journals, etc. This will require a water source and re-draining the engine again, sorry. Just my recommendation, I hate to leave used oil in an engine as its somewhat acidic as well as it contains combustion residue, condensation and unburned fuel

That's why I recommend servicing the systems in the following order: Fuel, lubrication, water, electrical. It avoids do-overs.

There should be a standard zerk (grease nipple) fitting on the rudder box.

In the bilge where the tiller arm connects to the rubber shaft.
