We are looking at buying a rzr and I have found info about the surf wake but nothing about the wakeboard wake. Has anyone rode behind one or own one? Also have you all had any problems with the boat? Thanks!

Love the wake! My friend has an x-25 and prefers the rzr wake, that says alot. I have more pics when I get a free minute. No problems to date aside from some bad gas. 1600 lbs and 3 people makes a pretty good wake for a 20 footer, nice lip on the wake, good on gas, skiing is good not great, launches great outta the hole with the 343 even slammed... I could to go on and onLast edited by JreisRZR; 11-08-2011, 03:30 PM.

If it wasnt going to be included we werent going to get it, it was included and now i dont think i could go back to having switches
yes the 343 is bulletproof, aside from having to change the inline filter no problems there, Also uses alot less gas than other boats, run maybe about 6 gph when fully loaded with rider in tow
Anyways heres more of the wake, its very wide (1600lb surf ballast, 2 200lb people ~2000lbs, 22mph taps at 4, 63 feet out)Last edited by JreisRZR; 11-08-2011, 04:23 PM.

knb,
We are real happy with our RZR. Like any 20 or 21 foot boat, you need alot of weight in the bow. Depending on the number of passengers, you can fine tune the weight for the rear.
Wake surf is fantastic.
Wakeboarding is perfect for intermediate riders. That is about the best we plan on achieving. I ride at 22 mph, TAPs at 4 and clear wake to wake. Boat holds 12, comfortably probably 8 adults. If you plan on alot of friends, may want an RZ2 if you can afford it.

Thanks. We won't be doing any 1080's. LOL. We will prolly add extra weight to it in the future. But until we get used to it we won't worry with the extra expense. THANKS so much for all your opinions. Makes the decision easier. We won't be purchasing a RZ2 unless we found a good used one. They are a tad out of our price range.

Tige RZ2
I've tested the RZR with both the pro and surf ballast. (The surf ballast is more than enough unless you're aggressively competing or working towards going on tour). If you're looking at a nicely priced RZ2 -try Waterski Specialty out of Denver. They currently have it below what I just paid for my RZR. If I would have known they were going to drop it below 65k then I would have held off on ordering my RZR - (the color scheme is kind of boring though - but its a new RZ2 cheaper than a brand new RZR.) I personally believe it also depends on how many people you're accustomed to taking on the lake on which boat you should buy. 7 people with everyone's gear is comfortable on the RZR. Anything more than that is just kind of annoying. Another huge bonus to the RZR is that it fits in most garages where as the RZ2 can be just a tad too long - unless you're going to take off the platform everytime you garage it.
