These guys are a transmission/gear repair shop. I sent my Velvet Drive to them back in the spring for a rebuid. They had my transmission 2 times since.

I thought I was doing something incorrectly, so I carried it to an inboard shop to take care of. Turns out the shop calls Simplicity to return it once more for repair under warranty. This time - they have never heard of me. What??? No record of me as a customer. So I call personally and get the same thing. "Sir, we have no record of you". Mind you, they have already had it 2 times. I pull my invoice and they can't find my records. $800 for this non-fix. Out of frustration, I get a recommendation to call Eric Lavine at Fantastic Finish Marine to discuss the transmission and repair options. This guy is awesome and really knows his stuff. He fixed the tranmission and finially got me on the water for the first time since i've ownered the boat - this was a very good weekend! Eric told me there was much more damage done DUE TO MISASSEMBLY than engine/shaft misalignment. He stated Simplicity left out a snap ring completely which was causing the rapid failures.
Now what to do about Simplicity? Its been well over 6 months since I paid them. I have all my records(his invoice and credit slip). Report to BBB? Although $800 is alot to me, it isnt really all that much legally speaking.
Any recommendations?
