    Re-furbishing Trailer Help

My buddy and I have a 02 23v limited on the factory trailer. We just bought the boat and really didn't look the trailer over before we brought it home (first time inexperienced boat buyers lol). After the 3rd time of use and while trying to load the boat one of the rear board broke off. The boat is on and stable but after invesitgating all of the boards and screws/bolts along with carpet really needs to be replaced. We planned on using treated lumber for the boards but we are unsure of what to use for the carpet. Should we just use some standard carpet that matches what we have or is there a marine grade we should use? Any other tips for re-furbishing is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You don't need pressure treated wood but it would last longer. I think my trailer came with regular wood for the bunks. You can order the carpet from iboats or west marine or anywhere, just search google. I would prefer to put carpet on there designed with boats in mind than to go with some cheap outdoor carpet from homedepot. Make sure to use stainless steel for the bunk hardware as well as SS staples to hold the carpet on.

Welcome to the board and X2 on everything that Ewok said.
There are several threads on how people have redone their bunks.

Here is a recent thread: http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...pressure+bunks

Just FYI regarding staple selection for treated bunks...
