    RZR Knock Sensor

I have a 2012 RZR; PCM 343 CES engine. While winterization for the first time, I only have 1 (port side) knock sensor on the engine block. The starboard side only has a brass plug. The owner manual shows 2 knock sensors. Can anyone tell me if I am misssing something? I do NOT see and electrical wire laying loose. I have 10 hrs on the engine and appears to run fine.

I called PCM and they claim it should have 2 knock sensors per the owners manual.

I would ask my fellow Tige RZR, 343 PCM engine owners to confirm this on their engine.
    Thanks

Yes, There is or should be two knock sensors in the block. Winterized my RZR w/343 PCM last week as well as a friends 22Ve with the PCM 343 and both have a knock sensor on each side of the block. There are seven drain points, plus the heater and shower.

My marine power only has one. Manual says it should have two as well.

Same for mine - 2004 24v marine power.

The fact that you do have a plug in there makes me assume it was intentional. I'd say just double check with your dealer.

Problem solved...I called PCM and they confirmed this engine should have 2 knock sensors on the engine block. I called the dealership and somehow it must have been overlooked. (All the plugs and sensors are shipped to dealership in a ziplock bag. Engine is shipped dry) Sure enough, after looking a bit harder, I located the knock sensor "wire" hanging along the engine block inside the hull. Not sure how this was missed. Oh well, new sensor being shipped from PCM. Boat should be ready next spring.
