    2006 22v shipped

Here is a picture of my 2006 22v. It came in about two weeks ago. I have only had it out once because I am away at college, but when we had it out, it was the best day of wakeboarding all summer. I think the changes they made to it for 2006 are great. The wake has definately changed from 2004. It seems to be a little more like a smooth ramp instead a a steep one. I also have 1000 lbs. of ballast. What do you guys think of the colors?

"It seems to be a little more like a smooth ramp instead a a steep one."

The 2004 has a steep ramp? I have a 2004 22V and I have to put a bunch of weight in it to make it steep. IMO, the ramp should be steeper, even with TAPS in full wakeboard mode. I was hoping that the new 2006 Tiges would have a steeper ramp. I guess I will have to ride behind one to find out for myself.

          Steep vs Rampy

Several days ago I had extensive opportunity to ride behind an 05 Mastercraft X-star. Compared to my 24V, the wake was rampier on the X-star and steeper on my 24V. WIth the TAPS down, the wake still could not approximate the rampiness of the X-star. The steepest wake I have felt is on a Nautique 210.

This talk about wakes is killing me since my boat is stuck at the dealer in SLC waiting for resolution of my V-drive problems. Have not wakeboarded for a month and I'm going through serious pain....resorted to playing golf. Maybe I will get it back in time for some trips to St. George (talltigeguy's stomping area?). I think I prefer steeper wakes.

              Zeda,

When you guys are having to breathe that soup you call air in January, it means that here it's 65 degrees, calm and sunny. It is the best wakeboarding time of the year. You would not beleive glassy water at noon.

Here's a picture of me during my lunch break in November:

Water looks amazing. On another note, Now I see where the "tall" parts comes from your user name.

                  Talltigeguy,

We have already planned our migration south for October. We plan on hitting Sandhollow on our way to Lake Mead. Its already starting to get cold up here in the North, water temp of 60 degrees and air temp of 54 last Tues morning on the lake.

                  Zeda,

I stopped by the dealership in Draper today checking out the new 24ve. I hope that they are taking care of you.

I guess they are doing what they can. I've been without a boat for a month now which seems too long. I will be selling my 22V and looking at either a new Tige (with a PCM) or a Nautique. The new 24ve is an amazing looking boat and something we will consider depending on how Tige steps up and takes care of our current issue. If they drop the ball, I will be very skeptical about getting another Tige.

                    Talltigeguy,

I will see you in November Looks amazing. Thanks for rubbing it in. Maybe I should move to St. George.

                        Hey Bog,

Take a look at my thread on Tige Problems. Do you have any suggestions for me? I am drafting a letter to Taylor right now because I'm pretty set on selling my boat and buying a new one. How Taylor deals with my problem will be very important to me in determining whether or not I'm going to buy one from him. I'm looking very hard at the Nautique 211. Tige will also play a role in whether or not I consider another Tige with a PCM. They don't seem interested in helping out based on my discussions with Tyson at the service department.

                        Give me your thoughts.

                        Jason

Write the president of Tige. Use return receipt, addressee only, so you know that they got it. Be calm, be firm. Explain that unless you get satisfaction you will make sure that everyone you talk to about boats will hear the truth about your problems. Bad PR is never a good thing.

Who is the president of Tige? I will write him for sure.

Moving from a Tige to a Nautique, there is no comparison. Build quality is much better... which could be why they cost so damn much more.
