Wake the World has exploded this year! The number of events have tripled in one year. We finished the season with 9 events in 7 states, over 200 volunteers, 90 boats, 4 pro riders and approximately 500 kids!
We started our year with "Wake N Flake". This is our annual fundraiser. Riders wakeboard behind brand new boats, eat lunch, get a hooded sweatshirt then go snowboarding in the evening, all to raise money for WTW.
WTW provides watersports opportunities to kids in Children's Homes that would not normally have the opportunity.
WTW NC on Badin Lake for 2 days Jr. Women's World Champion- Emylee Wright was there
WTW NC on Lake James
WTW Alabama
WTW Kansas City
WTW Texas
WTW Tennessee
WTW SoCal Ricky Gonzales & Randall Harris were there
WTW Lake Mead Will Christien & Jimmy Trasck were there
On the morning of our last event, WTW Oregon became official for the 2012 season.
For 2012, all of our events will be sanctioned and insured by the WWA. These events are not that hard to do. The first one is the hardest, only because you have to get the ball rolling. After that the rest is fairly simple.
If you are interested or know someone that may interested, let me know. We have a package of details and step by step instructions about putting on an event.
