I had to tow in a brand new Ski Nautique last night. The guys said they had been drifting for two hours. They had tried to flag down several boats but everyone kept ignoring them. The guy said his fuel flow meter was telling him he still had one hours worth of fuel. I guess the flow meters can mess up. Wish I had a camera. I did figure out why Ski Nautique puts those big rings on the bow of all of their boats.

I towed in three boats Labor day weekend, a bayliner, a yamaha jet boat, and a 32 ft cruiser. Each one of them had died within 500 feet of their dock. Weird! I felt like I should put a blue light on my boat and start charging people."I want to know God's thoughts, the rest are just details"

Yes, I know I'm right because my V-drive went out and I had to get towed a considerable distance by a Bayliner. I'm sure the guy was thinking - that guy spent way too much on his nice tow boat. His wife said "that's a nice looking boat" after dropping us at the trailer. Talk about feeling like sh1t.

Personally if I am broke down on a lake I dont care who tows me in. Just get me back to the dock. When I had the seadoos we towed many Nautiques, Mastercraft and Tiges back to the marinas. Thats why when I bought my boat I also got Vessel Assist. When my V drive went out in June, I dropped anchor, called vessel assist on the marine radio and 30 minutes later i was on my way back to the ramp. Not happy on a new $50k boat to be towed but at least I did not sit on the water getting irritated when no one stops to helpLet it be!!!
