rebuild on a 2005? Monster Tower? The '05 boat had a way better tower on than Monster...

Boats don't have salvage titles as far as I know.
    Waiting for another good one!

A lot of dealers ordered without towers. My 05 came with no tower and a local shop put a centurion tower on it.

True, there's a brand new '08 Z1 still at the Reno dealership without one. Unless they never updated their website
        Waiting for another good one!

          Fiveflat,
Custom Boat in Reno does still have it. I drive by it several times a week.

Eh... That's too bad. He still has his '07 RZ4 then as well?

My wife and I almost bought this boat, but they wanted a CRAZY amount to add a tower on it. So we went with the '08 20v instead. I was just at the dealership on Thursday of last week to pick my boat up from some warranty work that it needed.

If I recall right they are asking $34k for it.

FiveFlat... He still has the RZ4.

No, a brand new '08 Z1 for $34k although his website says $36k

                    The RZ4 is a '07 dealer demo that he's asking $72k for...
                    marked down from $94k

I don't think any tige dealers would put a monster tower on a brand new boat they ordered. Monster is a good tower, but it is still a budget tower. Unless I lived in new jersey, and knew the boat personally, I would stay away.

I bet someone bought the boat and didn't want a tower and then either decided they needed one later or ? There is a brand new Ski nautique 230 in my marina with no tower. So I know this sort of thing happeneds. I would buy this boat in a heartbeat if I was looking. And as long as it checked out.

One thing to consider is was this boat flooded during the last 2 storms that went up the coast. From the pictures of PA & NY and some friends I know in NJ, they got alot of flooding too.
                            just a thought

If I were considering this boat, the first thing I would like to know is what caused a motor rebuild at less than 300 hours? Motor overheated, flood damage, mis-used/abused, etc?

Personally, I'd rather have a motor with higher hours (given good compression, etc) that reflects the age of the boat. A '05 with 500-600 hours on a good engine shows it was properly maintained, better odds that the rest of the boat was also cared for.
