    Ski Mirror Location

I have a new 2012 RZR (with Alpha Z Tower) and was woundering the best location for the ski mirror on the winshield to avoid any obstruction for the drivers view. Does anyone mount on the port (left) side and angle mirror so you can still see everything?

Any pictures? I wouldd like to get it right the first time to avoid marking up the windshield crome!
    Thanks

On our RZ2, I put a mirror with a screw on plastic clamp up on the center window section each time we ride. It has always been stable and never in the way when not riding.

I have had mine clamped to the drivers windshield top for the last 10 years. Never blocks my view and all I have to do is tilt the eyes up to see behind.

laserfish and JreisRZR, I assume you take the mirror down to put the boat cover on?

This earlier thread has a link to the three part CIPA mirror in the pic above.

i simply flip it down, where the strap hangs from the tower it puts no pressure on the mirror

I have mine on the left side. I tried the center and it was a pain when I needed to open the window for people to walk through. Also on the right side it really blocked my view.
Tige, it's a way of life!

I run mine on the center windshield. Like others I just tilt it down when done and the cover goes right over it no problem. i cant staand them on the strb.(drivers side)all I can see is my big head when its right in front of me like that. Center works the best for me.

Before I bought my tower arm, I mounted mine at the extreme middle edge of the left side of the windshield...worked well and didn't get in the way of anything.

I've been wondering about mirrors on the Z tower as well. Guess none of these new forward swooping towers can have mirror mounts anymore eh?
                    Waiting for another good one!

I don't run a mirror. Rear mounted camera does the trick on the LCD.

We run with ours on the Port (left) side. Mounting it on the right side obstructs your view especially if you drive with the seat bolster up, and we run most of the time with the window open so there goes that option.
Its perfect if you tilt it just right you can see what you need to.

That would be awesome! Can you record for playback as well? What an awesome feature! It swivels with the rope right?

I run mine on the left and simply flip down to cover. Never in anyones way and can see the rider no problem. Matter of fact is was someone on here that saw a picture of my boat mounted in the center that reccomended it. I have been happy ever since.

I think that if I had Z tower I would get this mirror. It is a little higher so you can mount it on the drivers side.

I thought I saw one of those 2012 with a tige version of one of these?
