Swim Platform bolts at the bottom of the lake!

I have a 2011 RZR (previously had a 2008 20i) I noticed that Tige has not improved on (until 2012!) the 2 small bolts that lock the swim platform in place. I have loc-tighted them numerous times but they keep falling out into the lake! Any one have a solution to this problem? I know Tige has completely redesigned the swim platform brackets for 2012 but that does not help me!

Weird I am not sure we have had a custumer lose one yet. I thought it worked well in reducing the rattle and never had a problem with them comming out.

The bolts on our RZ2 come loose and I check them once a month and tighten as soon as I here the platform rattle.

I just got a 2007 22Ve this weekend (first boat) and heard rattling under the swim platform that went away once I stood on it. Put that on the list to check...

We lost one of ours pins as well. The deck fell while a couple of people were standing on it. We replaced it with a plain bolt and screw.

These boats are transported to the dealers with the platforms in the boat. Sounds like the pin's safety latch is not getting engaged, or is getting bent, when the boats are rigged upon delivery.

I've got the same problem. Dealer added two bolts on the very bottom of the swim platform mount to quiet the rattles and tighten everything up. Did a great job, but noticed they were a little loose before my last trip so I put some loc-tite on them and tightened them up. After a full day or two on the water, they had wiggled loose. I didn't lose them over a 4-5 day trip, but they were on their way. ~50% of our time was spent surfing, so I suppose that it would be a little harder on the bolts.

Love to hear a solution to this.

Don't know what else you could do.
I've tightend up mine a few times already when I notice a lot of play. It's just to become standard, maybe a little thread tape or RED loctite will help keep the bolts up there. I'd hate to overtighten them and strip the platform frame threads, then you'll really have a problem.

Is this the pin that you guys are losing and/or having a bolt put in its place? Is a ny-lock nut being used on the bolt or is the bolt being threaded in to the bracket somehow? If thats the case, I dont think it will sure the rattle because those surfaces arent meant to be clamped together. Thats why loctite wont work either.

No. It is the bolt that is threaded into the bottom of the platform's brackets. As you screw it in it forces the platform up putting tension on the pins and bracket. This stops the swim platform from rattling while at idle. Or when waves hit the back of the boat the platform will move up and down. The basically bolts tighten everything up.

It is obviously a problem. Tige' has completely redesigned the 2012 platform brackets. I'm just wondering what they are going to do for us with 2011 (or any other year) boats to correct this problem. My thought is that the factory should release a "update" to our dealers to replace the brackets.

I've got over 70 hours on my boat and I haven't lost those screws, I dont think they are there to reduce rattle, they are there to level the platform so the cotter pins line up to install the platform. My adjustment screws are not tight but they are in enough to level the platform to make it slightly easier to remove and re-install the platform.

These are the adjustment screws everyone's talking about right?
