need help with speed set issue
I have a 07 RZ2 with speed set. Over the weekend cc quit working properly. There is a couple different issues one is that once I get up to speed and push the set button it will hold the speed but I can not adjust the speed ,the up and down arrows dont work, but if I push the set button it will lower the set speed and with no consistency sometimes its by .2 mph and sometimes its by 1 mph. Another issue is before with speed set off I could use the set button to change the display on the dash to show mph and rpm and now with the switch off the control pad does nothing. Any ideas?

There was another thread not too long ago with similar issue and it sounded like the touch pad had to be replaced. -

I have spent hrs checking connections and before I drive 3 hrs to my nearest dealer I thought I would give this forum one last shot. Any Ideas? No one else has experienced this? I have searched the threads and seen similar issues but not the same as mine. Anyone close that has the speedset system that is willing to let me plug in there touch pad to my boat?Comment

Just got a call from the shop. It was the touchpad $1450.00 plus 12 hrs of driving (3hrs each way) which cost 100.00 in gas per trip so after $1650.00 my speedset is fixed. Hopefully tige updated the new touchpad and this doesn't happen again.Comment

Absolutely....I wasn't surprised when I got the call but sure was hoping it was something other than the touchpad...I hope tige has fixed the problem and this doesn't happen again.Comment

Did you get the old touchpad back? If so, I would be interested in opening it up to see if it's possible to refurb them. I used to design keyboards in a former life so I'm pretty familiar with all sorts of switch designs. That one feels like it's a snapdome or conductive rubber design. There's a good chance we could extend the life of these units, but I need to open one up to find out.
Let me know if you have it and are willing to part with it. If so, I'll post my findings so our whole community benefits.Comment

I asked for it but i was told tige would not send out a new one untill they received the old one. They are concerned with peolpe stealing there ideas. If you have touchpad go bad you can't just pick one up at your dealer then? It seems that if someone really wanted to know the secrets they could just take one off a boat. Besides that they have already moved on to a new design, I guess unless they are still using the same idea. I would hope not since there have been failures.
Not Tige related, I have been hit before with supposedly bad items and they kept the old one only to find out it was fine and they resold it.
Too bad they didn't help out with some sort of warranty.
