If the ecoboost turns out to be a great running engine your resale will be great, but if they turn out to be a maintanence problem you will have to give them away just like when you look at what a 2008 ford 6.4 is worth and what a 2008 chev/gmc duramax is worth. Just my two cents I would not touch a eco boost with a ten foot pole until we see how they are going to be long term.

Ragboy - It sounds like you have a very close set up as mine (minus the mountains for me). I tow my boat maybe 3-4 times a year. The other 95% of the time it sits on our lift. Get a vehicle that is perfect for the family 95% of the time and that can tow your boat the other 5%. For the 5% of the time you tow your boat who cares if you can feel it behind you or what milage you get, it is only 5% of the time!
My brother-in-law has the ecoboost in a ford boxie looking thing. It tows his 18 ft. fishing boat just fine when he needs it to. But it is a family vehicle 1st and a tow vehicle 9th on the list of importance.
So all and all get what you want and make sure it can tow a 6,000 lbs boat. Just my"You're rather attractive for a beautiful girl with a great body."

Nothing wrong with Toyota either though. They're good looking trucks....
Oh yea, that's because they started their big truck venture by mimmicking the F-150
Considering that, Ragboy if it turns out you are looking a a Toyota let me know and give me the VIN and I can give you EXACT dealer cost.

I guess I've been lucky with Ford trucks, I've ran them since 1984 and never had a major repair bill. The Company I work for runs hundreds of them and I see the same performance with the field trucks. Drive them all Ragboy and get the one that you like the best
Plus Ford didn't take a handout and that means something to me"Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" John Wooden- Rest in Peace

I was out all day, I would have taken you up on the toyota offer, thanks so much. But I got the Ford, I can't believe it, first ford ever after years of GM/Toyota. These new F150s are REALLY nice, more later, gonna go take the kids out to dinner, they can't believe I got a Ford.http://wake9.com/

I am currently towing the 24ve with wife's Mercedes ML320 CDI. Little bit of the tail wagging the dog, but no lack of power. Hell that 3.2 v6 has the same torque rating as the Dodge Hemi (390 ft pounds)
I have owned 14 Fords since my first one at age 18, including 5 Super Duty's 1 - 7.3, 3 - 6.0, and 1 6.4 (hated the 6.4)
The first Ford was a Ranger that chewed up brakes and U joints, but the remaining 12 have never been in the shop for more than a simple cosmetic repair. I had three of the notorious 6.0 and never once in the shop.
I am itching to buy one of the new F-150 eccoboost. That thing is a monster.
