    Speedo/Tach backlighting?

Do the speedo and tach's not have backlighting? I was out after dark sunday night and noticed those two didn't have any backlighting and this is on a BRAND NEW boat. The lighting on everything else worked fine, but I would have figured those two at least had lights. Just curious if this is normal or I have to take it in already.

The tach and speedo both light up but not on the same switch as everything else. To turn them on you push the up arrow a few times to bring them to full brightness. Down arrow will then make them dimmer.

To turn the lights on press both arrows at the same time the use the arrows to brighten or dim the lights.

Awwwwww, Gracias guys. You would have thought my dealer would have known that when I called him about it... or heck, you would have thought an instruction manual to the guages would have been located in my owners packet. O well.... I've since located one here ... thanks guys.

I too also thought my speedo/tach lights did nor work until I did some reading on this site.

My question to all of you is: does anyone know if the lights can be programed to come on with the NAV lights, if not, has anyone found away to "hard wire" it. I love my 06 22ve, but this little thing will drive me crazy until i come up with a fix.

I'm taking it in for a couple of things and will post back what the dealer says or anything I come up with.

          Thanks.

Do not think it can be hooked up that way.

I one the guys i boat with went the entire year thinking his lights were just burnt out. I just happen to be driving his boat in late August after dark when he came in from a pull he nearly fell over to learn that he had been driving the whole summer without those lights and what he had to do to turn them on.

I looked into this a couple of years ago when I bought my boat, I was not able to find a solution. It's pretty obvious that none of the Tige design engineers have ever had a Tige out at dusk or after dark.

Another thing that drives me crazy at night is that the switches are not backlit.

It has to do with the gages not the way they are hooked up.

Could this be the problem on a 2003?

Just push the up arrows while the lights are on?

Yes, but you have to press both arrows at the same time to turn the lights on and the other lights can be off.
