Acme is researching making one. They stayed away because it hurts top end. OJ guys say it would cut roughly 500 rpms while surfing

We'll see what ACME decides to do. We're going to inclue the TZ-X5 in our prop test on the Wake9 24Ve though, so it will allow us to compare it directly to the standard ACME's that everyone is running (1235, 2079, etc.).

Yeah, like I said, we have wanted to do a test like this for a while. I started talking to acme about it I think in 2009. But the Ve the way it is weighted now is a perfect test platform, and the fact that I live in the Sierra Nevada and should be able to get up to tahoe or almanor very easy, makes it work well. Not to mention Jason @ WM has been very helpful and keen on this kind of stuff.

Also, if conditions allow, 800 lbs up front on the RZ2 can make a really long fun wave. Just be careful, do that when its flat. IMHO.
I understand it is just the names they chose -- I just think it was a poor name choice . If I was a new buyer and had not researched surf weighting here on TO, I would presume that the "surf" stock ballast was the better choice for surfing.

Nice Z3 Scheme. Is Sick for Sure. I do remeber someone giving me a lesson re: color choices and it seems that you have varied over theat conservative view from 2010. Life is about change amd willingness to adapt to it.
