Issues with my gas gauge and taps

Need some help. Have a 2004 22v rider addition. Recently the gas gauge quit working. It always read 1/4 of a tank regardless of how much gas I put in. Then the next time out my taps quit working. When I start there at the highest setting and I couldnt change the setting. At the same time my gas gauge dropped to empty instead of reading 1/4 and now it reds empty no matter how much gas I put in. So I have no gas gauge and my taps no longer work.

Anyone experience this issue? Please share your experiences and advice.

    Thanks, Dan

Does the taps plate move up and down, but the gauge doesn't register correctly? Or are both not moving? To me it sounds like an electrical issue. Possibly a bad ground.

Normally the fuel sender goes bad, it has round tube with a float in side with a magnet, the magnet breaks loose and sticks to the grid plate showing a fixed setting, I have tryed a couple of different products to glue back into place but eventually the gas gets to it and it fails again.
You should have a Lenco taps , the controller box is under the dash, you can check power and ground there and output to the ram.

You can buy an electronic fuel sender not as accurate but rarely fail. I am putting on a fuel flow meter that tells you the fuel using and used. Know your capacity and reset at fill ups. The brand I am using is flow scan.

No the taps plate quit working as well. The gauge acted kind of funny first, like it would work but then not work than just went dead.

Not sure what to try but some have responded that it may be eletrical.

          Thanks!

Thanks for your help. Where do I find the fuel Sensor?

This earlier TO thread was a great help to me when I put a fuel flow meter on our RZ2. They are a pain to calibrate but after that work very nicely. (The stock fuel gauge has never worked).
