    Water draining from ballast tanks

Kind of relates to my prior question about draining water from the boat... Have a 2011 R20. The last few times we've hit the buttons to empty the ballast tanks (have 4 totalling 900 lbs) a ton of water has drained out when we never filled up the tanks to begin with. Is this something we should worry about? Just concerned that it didn't drain this much when we first got the boat, and not sure where all this water is coming from.

Mine has the same problem. The two rear filling pumps and pipes are under the water level. They let in the water by gravity. I notified the dealer and they will take care of it this winter.
I think changing the filling hoses so they can pass above the water level would solve the problem

the ballast hoses need to route upward from the ballast pumps. If the hoses leave the pump and have any downward angle they will fill on their own. Take the boat to your dealer and they can fix it for you or find a way you can route them upward from the pump and zip tie them up.

We took it to the dealer last week and he fixed it up within a couple of hours. Took it to the lake on Saturday and problem solved!

Can you tell me how exactly did they solve this problem so I can explain it to my dealer

Your dealer should know, it's been an issue since 2009. Sometimes they miss or forget to run the fill lines up above the water line to prevent I advertant filling.

Like Ewok said, the dealer knew exactly what was going on. When I described the problem on the phone they immediately knew what was happening. He didn't really explain how they fixed it, but said this was an issue they'd seen before from the way the lines are run at the factory.
