I don't believe it's an option on the RZR, RZ2/4. I have no idea what are options on the Ve series but I doubt it's much different.

One thing I noticed is there is no drink holder on the driver side dash, just like my Z1. This drives me nuts for some reason.
All in all Super Sweet boat.
It always makes me laugh that these super beautiful and expensive boats that they put so much time and effort into, and it many times comes down to a fricken cup holder. ;-)
But that cup holder right on the corner of the dash was SOOOOO perfect. I don't LIKE it down by my feet. (Whine, whimper) ;-)http://wake9.com/

The Z3 looks good. Love the trash can, been thinking how I can put one in the RZ2. Like the green/black one.
I hope that tower on the RZ2 is an option cuz to me that thing is HIDEOUS! (SP) Tigé WTF were you thinking?Last edited by rushin; 08-17-2011, 06:28 PM.I'm on a boat man. I got my flippy floppies....

Ben told me that the Alpha Z can be taller, you just order extensions for the base which they now have to order. I am guessing only for 2012, but not sure if they have that for the new towers.
I give them credit for coming with new ways to bring down cost. Looks like maybe people that couldn't afford an RZ2 may have a better chance. I wouldn't mind that tower if it saved a couple grand.http://wake9.com/

That Z3 looks pretty sweet. Someone asked me what I'd change on my 24ve, I said it needs:
1. A place to put trash--love the integrated trash can on the Z3
2. Dome light on the tower--Z3 has it.
3. Built in cupholders on the fiberglass above the seats near the sun pad
4. Don't like the playpen on a Supra-but the idea of having a place to store a cooler AND TRASH under the playpen is a good idea for the Z3
Vanity mirror? Don't need it. I'm as handsome as I'll ever be if I don't actually see what I look like.
What I don't like about the Z3:
1. I agree with the poster who said the silver vinyl will get hot.
2. Don't like the OH @(#! grab handles on the interior rear. Your back will rest there.
3. Center transom walk thru...not sure. The starbord side one is easier to step on from dock
4. Ski rope/tow rope holder--good/semi-hidden, but could be a heel snagger
Am not trying to start a flame war here....but....
Last weekend I saw a Rz2 coming at me from a distance towing someone (bow up) and it looked like an old Mark Twain Tri-Hull. Too flat-ish. As much as I like the Rz2 & 4 from the side/back and from front when they are going slow (looks like the batmobile), I don't like the looks at speed. I like V fronts of the new Z3. It looks sexy/mean from all angles.

Hopefully there is enough room. We regularly have water running over the corner of the back cushion when we weight the boat down completely.
In all your experimenting, have you ever wondered what too much weight is? Lately i've just been curious about how likely a capsize is when seriously weighting the boat. It wouldnt just flip due to weight, but weight combined with some rollers maybe? Curious to hear your thoughts on this.Joey - Red 20V Riders Edition

I don't recommend weighting past the point of rub rail AT SPEED on any of the tires. That means about 2 inches below rub rail at stand still. And on the 20 ft boat, I would think to the rub rail should give you a great wake. Do you have pics?
On the RZ2, we had extra people and occasionally broke that rule, but rarely, and only on an uncrowded flat lake.
With the 24Ve, we are definitely going past that point, but we are treating the 24Ve like a "project" boat. R & D and exhibition.
That is why I have considered the RZ2 a GREAT surf boat, and the 24Ve and RZ4, GOOD surf boats. As our new testing confirms, the 24Ve can be better than the RZ2, but its weighted past what I would ever recommend for an average family. And we only do this on flat uncrowded mid week days.
