Loudelectronics made a reference to a different styled boat, not the Ve or the RZ, but something else.
The word I got a couple years ago is that the Ve as we know it is getting retired at some point, but they weren't saying just when. There was also rumour that they where dropping the 24ft and going with a 23ft model when they did retire the Ve.

I hate to see the Ve go away, but worst of all, I dislike the bow playpen. I dont like having to step up into the bow while ducking the bimini at the same time. Thats one reason we passed on Supra back in 06 and bought Tige. Cant wait to get it on of the 2012 and see for myself how it flows. No worries though, it will be a decade or two before im in the market for a new boat

I like a built in cooler, and even though I made the SAME decision as to a Supra like chpthril made, I think its in the best place. Just my opinion though...

When it was under the observer seat, the most comfortable seat always had to get up to get drinks. When behind driver, same thing, not as bad, but also limits custom sac on goofy side. BIG problem. ;-)

Up front, no one is going to sit on that center cushion. 90% of the time, it is the kids that use the bow in our boat, and they like the playpen bow. My older girls did to.

No one spot seems perfect, but this was seems the best to me. IMHO.

Coming from a Crownline before our 24Ve, I miss (2) things that could easily be integrated into these boats with 1 minor change - the mechanics of the back seat. Our back seat had a storage compartment underneath the cushion that could hold about (8) life jackets. Then when doing an oil change, the entire seat assembly folded forward to allow full access to the engine compartment. This made it amazingly easy to do oil changes and maintenance.

The only other thing that needs some fine tuning is the Tige Touch & the radio controls. It has an extreme delay no matter CD, Radio, or IPod.

Since pics are out now, I will tell you what I know. They took a 24Ve, did a few mods to the hull on the outside and then it has a playpen type area in the front (due to the fixed cooler and ballast tanks and they are classifying it as a 23' boat. Both pics courtesy of Waterski Specialty in Denver.

I have had my 2012 RZ2 for about 3 weeks now and I LOVE the integrated bow cooler. Its soooo nice man, and its huge! Can hold a ton of water, soda, beer..whatever! Drains into the bilge...so easy. I have yet to bring another cooler onto the boat. Mostly kids or ladies ride in the front and have no issues with it.

Have they fixed the decal problems of coming off? Mine is a month old are getting worse ech time we use it. They are worse on the non gas fill side soi know gas overflow is not the problem.

                            really?

below is whats posted on the new tige web site review section for the rzr? I am just wondering what the specs on the boat would be. can they really give the rzr that much hp. that seems boarder line crazy!

Our time [RZR] to 30 mph was a brisk 5.6 seconds, and we quickly reached a top speed of 41.6 mph. Not enough? Get the supercharged PCM 6.0L with 575 hp. Cornering is flatter than with most wakeboard boats, so you don’t feel like the gunwale is going to dip when you go for maximum curvature. With twin tracking fins, you can turn in an impossibly tight radius.” – BoatingWorld, January 2011

Any idea if this tower has more clearance from the tower to the floor than on the rz's and z1?

                              EDIT: compared to the z3

Well no wonder the big secret wasn't so secret. If its just a 24ve with a face lift...

I'm gonna wait until the full story is released before I start commenting.
