    Thoughts on a Towers

I am thinking about upgrading my tower. Currently I have 2001 2100 V limited. When I purchased it 4 years ago the previous owner had put on a 2003 or 4 tige Metcrap tower. As far as the tower it's fine works fine. Just hard to get accessories to put on it.

I am looking at either the Monster MT2 or the Sampson Razor.
The Sampson Razor is running around $3500 and the Monster MT2 is around $1300. Well in today's time money is tight. What does everyone know about the two choices. I really like the Sampson but I am having a tough time paying 3 times as much as the Monster. I like Monsters warranty. Not sure on the warranty on Sampson I don't see it on their website.

Please let me know your thoughts on both if have use either.

    Thanks
    Sam

Back when I had my '01 21i,I put on a Monster MT2 and I do not have one negative thing to say about that tower or Monster's customer service.

If you do go the Monster route, I have 2 board racks that I would be willing to let go for a decent price.

Both are good towers from what I hear and both companies have excellent reputations. I think it just comes down to looks now. You are the one who has to look at it. You are also the one that need to look at the bank statement. It's a tough call for sure. I went the pretty route when I bought mine. I'm still happy with that decision. I still get compliments and people asking where I got it. You don't here too many people complimenting Monster towers, except other Monster owners.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I upgraded to the monster tower this year and I have absolutely no complaints on their service or product. The installation was a breeze and it makes no noise on the water and I have some weight hanging from it too (4 Wetsound650's and 2 surf racks and a bimini).

For the price and their warranty, you cant go wrong with a Monster!!!

Was it a direct fit with you current holes? I am just wondering if I would have to fill any holes. I haven't talked to anyone yet for the two companies.
            Thanks again for your insight.

What do you mean exactly? The tower that you have is a simple tube style tower and you should be able to get any accessory imaginable on that tower. Do you have a picture of your current tower to be sure we are talking about the same tower? The 03-05 tower does wobble some, but at the time, was reasonably sturdy compared to its predecessors. Other wise I loved the height, the straight bar for speakers and accessories across the top and it folded down fairly easily.

I would spend the extra and go Samson, if you have to replace it. Remember the price that you are quoting is probably for a Monster without racks, and the Samson has rotating board racks on it already, at that price, IIRC.
              Be excellent to one another.

man the best tower for those year boats and hull was the extreme phat tower in corona, ca. You could even get them in the 3" tubing. it was sweat but too bad the economy put them out of business.

do you still have the factory 2003 22V tower? i need one

Drove truck and boat under building with clearance two inches shorter than the tower.
Needless to say. I need to obtain another. I'd like to stay with the original factory one since the mounts are already installed....if possible.
If you still have it and want to sell lets talk...

Have you seen aerial's towers? I had an Aerial Assault on my last boat and loved it. It's very sturdy and clean looking.

This one is probably my favorite tower they have though

And at only $1100 to $1300, it's a good deal. Install was fairly simple as well.

Hey all, I to am interested in a new tower plus accessories for my newly purchased 99 2100V. I ran across this one and haven't been able to find too much info regarding the product. Looks to be a quality tower from my initial assessment:

It was a direct fit with the current holes from the MetCRAP.

I replaced th e series stock tower with a razor and really liked it. It was built well, no tower rattles and with 4 Pro 60's it was easy for 1 person to raise or lower. By time you customize it with lights, ski rack or surf rack and a bimini it easily climbs to $4k. Is worth it when insurance pays for the replacement due to getting cut off and hitting a low overpass.

It used the same holes as original tower. Only thing I did not like is how the wiring was run outside of the drivers side mounts. The optional mirror and billet are great. You get a panaramic view of the rider on both sides and behind the boat.

My brother inlaw has a basic monster tower on his 1999 Maristar and with just a rack for his air chair it gets the job done for 1/2 the money.

I have not worked with a monster tower with multiple racks so i really can only say it loooks ok.

I will say the razor fold down far enough to get into a 7' garage. when folded it is a pita to drive the boat under low bridges and such.
