I can't believe the water is that cold though!! BRRRRR.
I would have to have my 7 mil on, lol!
Down here in Alabama our water is 92! I would have a hard time acclimating!!
The rubrail is around 6" above the waterline..add another fat bastard like my uncle it goes down to 4"
The wave is tricky. Sometimes it's average and then we hit it just right with balance between the bow and stern weight... plus the TAPS somewhere between 3 and 1 3/4 and it jumps right up. When we get it right on a glassy morn' you can damn near surf till the gas runs out..
Kenr08 your exactly right those pics were taken just off of Lake Forest. We spend alot of time there in the coves. it's near fuel and the public pier is a great place to pick up crew and gearLast edited by MooseX; 08-13-2011, 12:13 AM.my midlife crisis started at puberty and I plan on enjoying it all the way to the end..

Green Peter Reservoir.

This picture I am trying to show how green the water is. It looks fantastic in person.

"our fenders" - Love the way they keep the boats apart when we are tied up with others. I can finally relax and not worry the boats are going to collide when big waves come.

My first couple attempts of trying to do a back flip. Go easy, my only claim to fame prior is jumping wake to wake!

Someone got an early Xmas present!

It had been ordered but didn't know if it would arrive in time for the camping trip. It DID!!

It is suppose to be "her" board but I have a feeling it will be "their" board shortly. They LOVE the board!

First ride on the New Board.

Sharing the New Board with some friends.

"TEAM RUB RAIL" from left to right - the General, Non-Drifter, 2Fin, and the Surf-Miester (nicknames on back of tshirts). Team Rubrail developed after reading Ragboy's comments/suggestions last year as we were being taught by the Sagmanuars last year how to surf. I keeped pushing for more weight to get the rubrail down to the water line as Ragboy suggested. So everytime we when out with them and added ballast, I would say we have to get rubrail. Now, just about every time we go out we get rubrail. The Sagmanuars (couple on right) have been great teachers of wakesurfing!! If it hadn't been for them, we would have bought a Chaparral and wouldn't have discovered Wake Surfing. Thanks for teaching us! All though had they not been so kind we would have been about $20,000 richer! They are EXPENSIVE friends.
