    August Picture Thread

Let me start off the new month. Just got back from a week at lake of the Ozarks. Not a bad lake all in all but a little shallow and busy in places. Then again I am spoiled by the Red River where we I can find a patch of glass almost any time of the day.

    Here are a few pics

    Queen of the chase tube

My 7 year old...he took exactly 3 pulls until he could taxi. I only took 60+ pulls and 3 days of frustration before I made it 100 feet

My old man...67 and still doing deep water starts

Those are great pictures. I could tell you have a 250 or 300mm lens on your camera. I wish I had a 28-250....Nikon makes one now.
You dad is really inspirational. Thanks for sharing,

If they were not so freaking expensive...and then a good foil rack is another 500-900 bucks on top of that unless you plan on everyone stubbing their toes on it laying in the center of the boat.

My buddy has a foil, it is as fun as it looks.

Way to go Gramps! Most of us can only hope to be half that active at that age.
          Be excellent to one another.

The foil is great. They are prIcey for sure but great deals can be found used. Falls don't really hurt. I think wakeboarding is way riskier in terms of injury (sp ACL's and ankles). I used a nikon 2.8 70-200vr for these shots. Also a little pricey but a completely different universe than the kit lenses.

every boat needs a foil in it. you can ride in any condition and it doesn't hurt when you fall. and if you get a sky ski the air you get is phenomenal.

Here's a few cell phone pics. Good weekend. This is actually my brother's v-ride. I broke my collar bone and it's difficult to get my tige out.

That is a nice lens Bakes5. It really shows in your pics. I like pops tearing up the fire stick. They say people who slalom ski all their life end up with the bone density of a teenager even though they are in there 60s, 70s, 80s or even 90s. Truly a fountain of youth. I had better dust off my ski and get some turns in.

                        Jake, nice wake dude.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Here are a couple. We are running more bow weight to give the pocket length. I am up to 750 in the bow plus two people. Best waves and airs of the year. I stuck two air reverts 180s in a row last week! So so so pumped! Still getting some cavitation which I am trying to figure out. I will try and get better pics this week of the wave.

This is the only picture I have so far in the month of August.
It was one of the best evenings we have had. 80 F Air no wind and 82 F Water.
Taken with a BB Bold so the quality is not top notch. I was driving and my buddy was attempting a 3. The sunset was better then his effort...
