So lost my last boat a few years back to a wild fire. Finally getting around to getting a new boat. Owned MC's in the past ( yea i know blasphemous ) now the whole lineup is a bit lacking luster. Seems like the whole x line up is just a v series with a tower and ballast. So im converting to Tige. Looking at the Rz4 and Rz2. Looking to board 30-40 % surf 30-40% relax and chill 30-40%. Looking to pick up a 2011 maybe a new 2012. Pro ballast and defiantly some fat sacks. Just seeing what you think of the two boats and what would fill my needs.

How many people do you usually go out with? Can you store and tow a 24' boat??
I'm still stuck in the dark age, but for what you want it looks like both the RZ2 and RZ4 would be perfect. But depending on the questions above one may fit the bill better.
From what I've been reading with a little bit of work the RZ2 will produce a world class wake for surfing and wakeboarding. They say the RZ4 takes a bit more work to get that quality of a wake. If you constantly have 14 or more people aboard the RZ4 may be better for you.
Again this is all hear-say as I have been drooling over the new boats reading lots of people's experiences.
Again welcome and good luck.

My dream is the RZ2. Just like the lines and layout better. Both will handle rough water like a champ and handle crowds. Let us know your usage and expectations. You will also like the fuel consumption of the Tige over the MC. Been on both and you will use a lot less fuel on the Tige and have a much better surf wave in my experience.

We really like our RZ4, but I have posted threads on here for some help in cleaning up our wake for wakeboarding and we're still working on it. It cleans up pretty nice though at 22 mph.
You can look at my posts and see some of my pics of our wake. The surf wake is awesome though!
We have the pro ballast and have no problems surfing with 1 person in the boat or 15.
We had 17 people in the boat over the 4th weekend and had a blast! Nice wake then!!

riding at 22mph is not a problem im used to some where around 24mph about 80ft back and 2500#s in a x1. See i really like the option of having a bunch of people in the boat. And a bigger boat that better handles rough water is a plus since i live in San Diego and liked to hit the bay once or twice a season.

We love all the room we have on ours! We usually have 8-10 people in the boat and with coolers and towels and bags and all the crap you bring with you, it never gets crowded. Plenty seating for all!
It handles really good too in big choppy water. We cruise right on thru it!
(Maybe it was a little tight with 17 peeps tho!)

RZ2 !!
You’re going to pay a butt load more $ for a couple extra seats in the RZ4. Although i really like the rear facing back rest behind the captain’s chair I don't see an overall advantage.
One thing to really thing about especially if you’re going to load up the RZ4 is opt for the bigger engine. I'm happy with the PCM 343 in my RZ2 however; I had to ditch the original 537 for the 1235. I don't see this engine performing as well in a larger much "more" loaded down configuration.
Just my2010 Tige RZ2 "Fully Loaded" 650hrs

if i go with the rz2 ill opt for the 6L 409 hp
and with the rz4 6L 450 hp. All ways rather have hp and not use it than wish i got a better power plant. Any one know what makes the hp gains between the two is it a tune or cam up grade or what.
For props i'll put on a oj's 5 blade and keep the stocker for a back up.
