Rhino line the bottom of swim platform

    Hey,

Has anyone had a bed liner sprayed on the bottom of your fiberglass swim platform? I need to do something to cover up the glass. I'm thinking of bed liner or using some more resin to smooth it out. Everyone keeps getting stabbed by the rough glass. Just thought I would see what other folks have done if anything.

    Thanks,
    Tyler

The bottom of my platform was bare glass too. We sprayed it with black Gel Coat.

I went ahead and had it sprayed. No more getting stabbed with glass. It also covered up most of the rivits as well along the edge. I'll see how it holds up.

We have our entire platform Sprayed with Rhino Lining. '02 and the previous owner had done it. We picked it up in '06, and just had it resprayed this year '11. It help up prtty well till end of last season.
Ours is a completely wood fabricated oversized platform, but the lining held well.
          Just FYI.

Ever considered "filling" it, so that it doesn't have an edge and is smooth all the way across? I recall a thread here that discussed the (bad) effects on a surf wave of having an unfilled swim platform....
