    HELP!

Ok... Got out yesterday for the first time this season. (I know, pretty sad.) Have the new update for the touch, don't know if this is related to that or not but my TAPS is stuck at 7. Tried to reset the touch, tried to calibrate, nothing worked. Couldn't surf, it was a bust. Here's where it gets worse... My dealer's mechanic is off and I'm unable to get the boat in. F$&@!!! Suggestions?
    Thanks,
    I'm currently drinking black russians

Is there a factory reset somewhere? If all else fails what about disconnecting your battery cables all together for a few minutes and firing back up to see if its a software glitch?

I have the same boat with the Tige touch updated as well, never had that issue. Did you try to operate on the trailer possibly while the button depressed and some additional force on the TAPS plate? Could simply be siezed. Sometimes that little extra pressure could release. I am no mechanic, just thinking what I would do. My buddy has a Baja his plates sieze up almost every year. His solution is go accross the lake pinned on a rough day and they usually free up. Not saying I recomend that, but works for him.

The water is very high right now where I boat so no rippin around the lake trying to loosen up the plate. I did reset the "factory settings" on touch with no luck.

I would start with checking the fuses there is a 5 amp fuse for up and down. I would then go with checking to see if the pump is running. Then the fluid level and finally the ram. I guess start at the helm and work your way back.

          Hope this helps...

Thanks gwhite, I don't believe it's the fuse because I can hear the hydraulic engaging. I'll check the other options you mentioned tomorrow.

What is the location of the plate, and is it moving, we had one that the ram broke the sensor inside and jammed the ram , also the green wire on the pump goes to the solenoid on the pump which opens to direct preassure and that has failed, and we have had the switch jam in the shift knob , feel it to see how free it moves.

Thanks for the responses. It was the pump. Warranty covered, $125 labour.
