I have a 2006 22ve. I love this boat, but about a month ago it started having a siren go off under the dash when I put it in neutral. It also goes in limp mode and will just creep. Most of the time it will work fine for the first hour or so and then it all starts again. I have changed out the Throttle Position Sensor on the back of the throttle hoping this would work. (it was a suggestion I received) I have also taken it to the dealership in Las Vegas. I am not sure what they did, but after about an hour on the lake the siren came back. That was a $400.00 day. I have also disconnected the batteries and then connected back hoping for some sort of a reset. This didn't work. I am so frustrated. I wonder if I connected the batteries together in line if this would work? HELP!

Siren going off and limp mode means you have a fault code, my guess is oil pressure switch or temp sender. Anyway do not reset it, that clears the code and gives the dealer nothing to work with except your description. Dont turn off battery until you get that code pulled. One thought may be high oil level, did you top off the oil or change it before this happened? If the level is too high you'll be aerating it with the crank shaft causing low pressure.
Here's a list of inputs to the ECU, And now that Im looking at it the knock sensor may be worth looking at, I think chpthril had issues with his 06:
The sensors that the ECM monitors are:
• Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor
• Throttle Position (TP) Sensor
• Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor
• Knock Sensor (KS) System
• Crankshaft Positioning (CKP) Sensor
• Camshaft Positioning (CMP) Sensor
• Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
• Throttle Control Position (TCP) Sensor
Good luck, keep us posted.Last edited by GIZMO; 07-16-2011, 05:51 PM."I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer."
