    I love my Tige

I have to take a moment and give a little tribute to Tige...and I guess "my" Tige.

Because of college ending, running my own business, and just flat not having enough time, I sold my last boat a few years ago. When a friend invited me out last year, I remembered what I was missing and decided I needed to become a boat owner once again. My uncle has always had Super Air Nautiques, my best boarding buddy has had a 2001 Tige since new etc so I'd ridden them all but until this year, all I personally had owned were Mastercrafts - and I swore by them.

I really ended up getting my Z1 by accident. When I bought it, I thought it would just be a stepping stone for a year as I got back into the sport and never intended on owning it longer than a season. At first, when friends and strangers would comment on how awesome looking it was, I'd say, well...it is an "ok" boat because my heart was still set on whatever I'd buy after it. Since then, my feelings have come full circle. Slowly this summer, I've learned know it's not an OK boat, it's a GREAT boat. I love my Z1.

I took way too long to do it, but once I learned how to weight the boat and find the sweet spot with taps, I realized this boat is awesome. When switching from surf to wakeboarding, I don't think I could live without TAPS (you all know how easy TAPS makes it). The wake is only part of why I love it. The looks are awesome, the dealer I've worked with has been awesome (credit to Performance out at Lake Ozarks), and the memories I've gotten from it are awesome.

Regardless, I didn't want to make this a long post, but I had to post it. What really gets me is that the Z1 is considered the entry boat. Knowing this, even though I'm still probably going to sell my boat this year, it's going to be a lot harder to do now.

...and as you might imagine, there's a good chance the purchase for next year just might be another tige...

Hats off to tige. Post your love stories as well.

lalh20 - I love my Tige as well! I bought a left over '08 20v just over a month and half ago, and just like yours it's considered to be an entry level boat. We got such a good deal on this boat it was really hard to pass it up. We were in talks with another dealer to buy a new Malibu, but the price point and the reviews of the 20v changed our minds. I AM SOOOOO HAPPY with our boat. So much that my co-workers are tired of listening to me talk about how awesome it is.

Thanks for sharing your story lalh20!!

I don't have a newer Tige, but still love mine all the same. It was a depression purchase for me. All my life I had lived within a bike ride of the beach. I surfed at least 3 times a week, but when I moved inland with my GF I realized I needed to stay on the water. I bought a boat to help out and figured I'd sell it when she was done with her masters program and move back to the coast....well things have changed for us. We are so happy skiing behind our boat, and enjoying the Delta we purchased a home in the Delta and will have our boat on the water a few houses away .

Its pretty funny how this boat helped pull a 180 on our lives. Now that I have a house payment this depression purchased, paid in full boat, will have to stay on the hydrohoist.

I too love my Tige. I purchased an 06 24V last winter. And, although I had the boat inspected, I was concerned there could be issues once the boating season started.

Well, I’m pleased to report that we’ve experienced zero issues with our Tige. The boat starts on the first turn of the key every time. It has more than enough power to pull skiers, wake boarders, tubers and knee boarders. It’s also big enough to handle our friends and their children. Additionally, it handles the occasional rough waters at Lake Texoma.

Today my Enzo sac arrived. I’ve surfed behind a friends Malibu and it’s a blast, so I look forward to weighting down our Tige.

I will either keep our 06 for the next few years, or I'll buy a newer model. However, the newer model would be purchased out of a preferance for the newer design because our 06 has performed flawlessly

Well done Tige. You manufacture a quality product. Thanks
