    Fake lake

When u have the fake lake on how do u rev the engine without putting it in gear? Should i even rev it up with the fake lake on? I have a 22I Type R... Sorry if this is a stupid question.

There should be a button in the center of your Shifter, depress it as you push the Shifter forward. This will disengage the Tranny from your shift lever until you return it back to neutral. After you disengage the transmission. You can then rev the engine with the throttle, just don't go back to neutral and you will be fine.

There is a button on the side of the shifter lever (e.g. right about where the screw holders the shifter on) that you push in to move it into neutral. Once you move the lever back to center position it disengages.

You'll know if you got the advice wrong, because there will be a loud, unpleasant sound from underneath your boat if it's in gear.
