    TIGE 22V 2006 Delivered

I just picked up my 2006 Tige 22V - I plan to post pictures by this Saturday sometime - maybe some interior PICS tomorrow night as its in my garage.

Does anyone know whether or not on the Dual battery setup on a new 2006 whether or not you are to run both batteries at the same time. My dealer told me when I picked it up tonight to just run one, but when I got home with just the #1 battery turned on - I could only get the stereo running - no other dashboard features worked. I had switch to the #2 battery and the radio did not work, but I could run all my lights - docking lights, submerged transom light, nav lights, courtesy lights etc...

I was only disappointed in a couple things, but the dealership plans to have them fixed at our first tuneup - which they mentioned should be at 25 hours.

The Bimini top was not delivered with the boat, the tower mirror mount was missing, one TIGE sticker in the back center seat was missing, and our Front Cleats were missing on the boat (we ordered 6 cleats) rather then the standard four.

If anyone knows anything about the electrical hookup for the batteries on a 2006 boat - please share your thoughts. On my 2003 boat - everything worked no matter whether I had on #1 battery, #2 battery or both batteries.

We do have the kickerspeakers, larger amp and sub woofer if that makes a difference - maybe they seperate the amount of equipment on batteries once you have that much electrical equipment in the boat? I don't know.

    Thanks for the help!

That's the way the batteries are usually set up.
The reason being, you can anchor some where and switch to bat. #1 and play your tunes until it dies, then just switch to bat #2, and still fire the motor right up to charge #1!

I don't see why you shouldn't run on 1&2, I think that way it charges both batteries.

Both batteries will charge regardless of whether the switch is in position 1 or 2. The switch only controls where power is pulled. Putting the switch on 1&2 will pull from both batteries.

When you anchor just run on battery 1, time to start switch to battery 2 and enjoy as battery 1 will get recharged over time.

Its not working like it should!

All your equipment should be able to run no mater what position the switch is in
(Battery 1, battery 2, or both)

The amp draw will determine if all your system can be hooked up to one battery or not.
( if you draw is more then one battery can handle, you might need to buy hearing aids by then of the season.)

It sounds like your dealer just needs to move / add a wires around and it should be fine.

The +12vdc goes through the master switch, there should only be one output. If they ran separate grounds (-) from different equipment to different batteries, and the batteries are not in a parallel circuit, this could cause your problem.
(There might need to be a common ground (-) wire added between the two batteries,)

To keep it simple, if the power is coming out of one battery it need to go through the equipment and find its way back to where it started.
Tige, it's a way of life!

whitlock87 is correct, my factory dual-batteries in my 2004 22V run everything regardless if the switch is on 1 or 2. I always keep the switch on 1 & 2 when cruising so both batteries charge, switching to a single battery when sitting in a cove listening to the radio.
If life is a waste of time, and time is a waste of life, then let's all get wasted together and have the time of our lives.

I promised pics so here they come.

I talked to my dealer, he said the 2006 is a little bit different. I actually have two seperate on and off switches unlike my 2003 which was one switch that could go (3) ways. The 2003 could select one, two, or both.

The 2006 22V has two complete seperate switches.

I hope everyone likes the PICS - as I mentioned before - I'm still missing some things upon delivery - once I get my tower mounted mirror and bimini top I'll post a couple more PICS. The bimini top will be red.

By the way - for those that know alot about the 2006 - we begged to get a 2005 dash, and they were able to accomodate us. We did not want the neutral color (tan) or the Black dash - which I had on my 2003 - we begged for a 2005 Grey and they went ahead and put it in the boat for us.

Tower with TIGE Billets - 2006 has quick realease handles for taking the tower down. I find them very handy for putting in my garage.

Front - Not sure if this is new in 2006? Front seats that open into large compartment by driver and into large compartment under glove box from front have little shocks that keep them up when open. They do not drop back on your head....

Glove Box - self supporting Spring - nice feature I did not have in my 2003.

This shows the location for the table mount - it mounts in the floor rather then in the bench area - new from my 2003 - might not be new for 2006 - I like the new location of the table.
