    Kimberling City Table Rock Lake

We're heading to TRL, south of Kimberling City, for a week vacation (first time in the area) and am looking for some feedback, places for fuel, suggested areas to surf, etc. We'll have a handful of young ones wanting to swim, so suggestions of areas, coves, etc ideal for that would be much appreciated. Any and all feedback would be great.

    Thanks!

Table Rock is great--esp during the weekdays. Water is calm, not many boats, can always go around a bend to get out of the wind. Becuase it's Corps owned, it looks undeveloped, but there are very nice houses lurking up in the hills. Community boat docks about every mile or so, Marina services are less frequent, but usually near a bridge like in Kimberling City, Shell Knob or closer to Branson.

Here are things to be aware of:

      Gas
Gas is only available every few miles. Kimberling City has a big marina for Gas, food, etc. GO west and the next place is at Campbell Point--it is where Shell Knob bridge is. Or East up to Indian Point Marina.

      Food:
Not many places on the lake and when we were there 2 years ago, many shut down at 9pm. And in Kimberling City or Shell Knob the few restaurants are busy. We found it better to stock up and cook food ourselves.

      Water:
It is DEEEEEEP. If you want to cove out with an anchor, there are many places where the coves are like 90' deep.

      Surfing/Boarding/Skiing:
Depending on traffic/wind, we have surfed on main channel, but also found a We found a cove South of Kimberling City heading towards Branson before the lake turns North again. You won't have a problem

      You'll love it.

We usually stay in Shell Knob when we hit TRL. It's still on the lake, but away from all the business of Branson city traffic & the Kimberling City lake traffic. We usually go into Branson to eat dinner once or twice a week, and then eat around the cabin the rest of the time.
