been a while since I posted here.
Thanksfully me and my passenger can still post. we had a crazy weekend, and I believe the strenght of the Tige' saved us.
10:30 at night we were coming back home, crystal clear night, no wind, just an awesome day we had, 5 sets and everything,
rounding the channel marker when my girlfriend yelled TURN TURN TURN, I turned just in time and barely saw the other boat at the last second speeding right to us. unfortunanly it was too late and they hit us in the port stern. thankfully noone was thrown. We started throwing stuff off wakeboards and all (yup had to save the boards, haha)
THE OTHER BOAT DID NOT STOP!
the boat sank in less than 2 minutes, I was on the phone with 911 when the boat was going down, jumped off the boat, used the wakeboard to use as a table to call 911, we had 17 vests that just flew everywhere as most were in the port stern hold.
people from across the river heard the accident happen and us screaming for help. within 10 minutes they jumped in the boat and came to get us. DNR came within the next 10 minutes.
the other boat apperently went to the marina hauling butt as there was witnesses that there was a boat speeding into the dock with substantial bow damage. The witnesses/owner of the marina wrote down the truck license. They called the cops.
It took a day, but they found the other boat late last night, unfortunantly they do not have insurance at all, I have uninsured and total replacement value.
This has been amazing the support of the boating community has shown, and a real miracle I did not have my usual crew on as Im sure it would of been a real disaster.
Once again I believe the strength in the Tige' saved our lives as you can see from the pictures.
please be safe on the water, this brings a new light to me on the water.
