Graphics on 2011 coming off??

Do you have pics of how you did this and what products you used? I have some slight peeling right under the gas cap. Think it was due to too full of tank spewing out some excess gas.

I just bought the brand of contact cement at Lowes. Wiped the area with rubbing alcohol. Applied with a paint brush rather than the bulky brush attached to the cap. Worked small areas and pressed down with finger tips. It sticks fast.

Will the contact cement damage the gel coat? If I ever decide to replace the graphics, will it be a PITA to remove?

Excess contact cement comes off with acetone. Most contact cement is neoprene based but is a "flammable" or "non-flammable" form. The non-flammable is water-based and is not supposed to last as long.

I went with the flammable and did not see any effect on the gel coat where I wiped away excess. But it was not on there very long either. Perhaps test in a discreet spot.

If you are worried about your gel coat, try the non-flammable and see if it holds.

On the filling issue, I try to set the pump on the super slow pumping when I know it is getting close to full. I haven't had much gas spill over in a long time but then I also only pump gas in from a gas station a few times a year. (mostly syphon 5-gallon tanks in at storage)

Same here, the front RZ graphic keeps begining to peel, I just trim..now the rear graphics are showing signs of peel back.
Guess I'll have a talk soon enough while she's still under bow-stern warranty!

Graphic came off my 2011 second day out. Then noticed small spot on the other side 2 weeks ago. Scheduled to get both sides replaced next week via dealer and Tige??

I have a 2010 22ve and I'm on my 8th decal. It's only the portside. Tige has to replace the whole damn thing everytime. Gets old, but the replace it without a question. I guessing it is the overflow for the gas. We may have to move the overflow to the back???

It is not from gas overflow. Mine are peeling off on both sides on my 2011 Z1.

I;m just guessing. I don't have any other idea. May be just faulty adhesive. ?????? I would really like to know the fix. I told Harvey if we still have this problem just paint them on...I don't care.
