    Swim Step Lock?

Friend of a Friend had there Tige swim step stolen while in a hotel for 10 minutes recently. Don't know any other details yet, but I was wondering... Does anyone know of a lock for swim decks? Have any of you placed a lock on yours?

That's crazy! I wonder if you could use one of the trailer hitch pin locks or something. Never heard of one getting stolen.

I haven’t either but if you were worried about it, Remove the handles on your bolts after you get it tightened up, that would make it a bit more difficult. But if they really want it they will get it

All you need to steal it is a cordless drill and about 3 minutes of time.

Thanks Timmy and lwndr for your quick responses. You both got me thinking the same thing... we can tie down and lock everything, but in the end, if they really want it they are gonna take it anyway. Still might take Timmy's suggestion though... maybe a skinny trailer hitch lock where the cotter pin goes. It's a $10 purchase that could save hundreds for a replacement deck, and I really like my teak deck!

That is crazy. Did they just happen to have another Tige sitting around that they needed a swim deck for. Oye.

I believe it happened on the Colorado River, and I have seen more than a handful of Tige's out there at any given time... still, how crooked is that... stealing is bad enough... STEALING FROM ANOTHER TIGE OWNER?!?

They make a lock for that size (5/16 I think). Its just like the trailer locks for your hitch. I saw one at my Marine store today.

no Tige owner would do such a thing - look for a Bu or MC with a Tige platform.

They had to be following him. I bet the hotel has a camera on the parking lot. Probably not worth the hassle but, it would be nice to get someone busted for such a jenky crime. Super weak dude.
