Out on what is left of lake travis today. Went to put my 07 22ve in gear. Pulled up on the plastic disk and it went too far. I couldn't get it out of neutral. Had to push the plastic disc back down over the silver hook. Tried to get it in the right place and it worked a couple of times and then same thing. Has anyone had this problem and what was the fix?

Sounds like a linkage issue. There seem to be a lot handles falling apart right now. The fix has mostly been pulling it apart and going through and making sure everything is tight and in good working order.

I'm not a mechanic. Just trying to throw out some ideas.
