    New Tige Owner

Just thought I'd do my first quick post, we have just bought an 08 RZ4 !
Took her out for the first time last week, with my wife, son and a few friends, and everything ran really well, we're really pleased and its a great boat, loads of space, quiet and so well fitted out, although I obviously dont need to tell any of you that !

We are originally from Wales (UK) but are living in Dubai, wasnt looking for a Tige specifically but was looking for a wakeboard/surf boat but am so glad I have got the RZ4 compared to some of the stuff I looked at and tested!

lots of boats to choose from out here but not a huge amount of wakeboarding boats (apart from seriously overpriced Mastercrafts)

Anyway been avidly reading different topics as dont know a lot about the boat/engines so sure I will have some questions to post in the near future !!

thanks all, much appreciated welcome !!

Water temperature is about 95 deg f at the moment but it will get up to around 100 ! which trust me isnt nice, especially when the air temperature can get up to 130(and 80% humidity)! will be like this until spetember then will start to cool down for 'winter'!

We dont actually use the boat in dubai we go to a place about 45 mins drive north, much quieter and its a saltwater creek so calmer water, but have plenty of photos of our trip up the burj !

Pic of our boat attached (hopefully)got a few things to do as last owner wasnt very careful and she needs a bit of TLC !

had first minor problem when out today, the bilge pump is working but not pumping out so need to have a search and find out how to sort that !

Will post a few more pics when I get a chance

Holy smokes, 95° and I thought the gulf of Mexico waters were warm. How do you stay cool? Maybe a ice water "mister" is in the works for an upgrade

                    Nice lookin' boat!

Welcome to the Tige family. As far as your bildge pump, mine was doing the same thing. Turned out that it was just a bunch of carpet fibers that plugged it up. It's probably an easy fix.

Blistering hot is right, you cant stay cool really, just drink gallons of ice cold water!
winter is better (although a bit cold by comparison) water is around 65-70 and air temperature 75-80 on average, but thats only for a few months

Will try and get the bilge pump out this weekend, sounds like it just 'unclips' from the base mounting? just hard to get to at the back of the engine.

Most of the water comes from washing down the boat after use, the salt content here in the sea is really bad, you get visible build ups of salt on all over the boat, so have to wash everything down really thouroughly with fresh water after use, wish they fitted a drain plug in the bilge area as on the centurions, would make this less of a problem!

Yeah if your going to wash the boat down like that you are going to want to add a center drain. We do it alot for boats that are on lifts and cant get to the rear drain plug. We add a hatch to the rear seat like the 2010/11 tiges have for access then add in a drain plug.
As for your bilge pump if its running and wont pump most likley the screen inside of it is clogged. Like you said its kinda tuff to get to but it unsnaps and the screen just lifts out. clean it place it back in and snap the pump into place.
